Galactic Civilizations III: Strange New Worlds Announced

Today, Stardock announced the new Strange New Worlds DLC for its massive sandbox space 4X strategy game, Galactic Civilizations® III. The DLC contains a plethora of new planet types to explore, adding new strategic options for long-time players, while also offering exciting new experiences for people picking up the game for the very first time.
In Strange New Worlds, there are several new planet types to explore. These new worlds offer new and exciting bonuses to those brave enough to colonize them. Players might encounter a sterile planet that isn’t meant for housing life, but is well suited for the experiments of a mad scientist, or a beautiful and serene tranquil type world, perfect for retirement and tourism. New islands, continents, and landmasses provide more options as planets are explored and colonized.
A free update that visually improves the already existing planets both on the surface and from orbit will accompany the DLC when it releases. Players will enjoy beautiful shorelines, vibrant color, and careful detail on each planet they visit.
“We've added a lot of new content to Galactic Civilizations III since it launched,” said Stardock CEO Brad Wardell. “By giving some attention to the game’s planets, we are able to improve some visuals with the update, while adding additional depth with the new world types and traits in the DLC.”
