Intrigue Openers and Meta

So I got back into this game and realized I'm remember nothing and I'm just simply bad at this game.

Can you guys suggest some openers/build orders (GC3+Intrigue+Crusade) to me?

Are quick colony grabs still number one priority?
Which techs should be researched first?
Any exploits I should be aware of? I remember being able to break the diplomacy sceen when Crusade released, resulting in AIs giving me all their stuff, that was pretty neat.
