It's a real pain creating the fleet you want. It was so easy in G Civ II and it doesn't work at all in Civ III. It automatically creates a fleet that you don't want if a ship occupies the same tile as another if you have enough logistics points. It was a real pain trying to figure out how to get all my ships on one tile as stacked from 2 fleets. Now I want to create 2 fleets but with a different makeup and I can only select one ship at a time. Also, I'm near enough to the enemy that they can attack my cargo or troop ships without going through my fleet or regular ships. They can bypass all my ships and just attack the troop ship for example. I would have thought that basic stuff like this would work properly as you have a number of addons out and I just purchased the Gold package. Also, at the end of a turn, you can start the next turn but if you had any moves left on any ship, the turn stops and forces you to move those ships. So, you hit the space key and what do you get but the inability to move that ship at all for the next turn because it had 1 movement left from the previous turn. This really sucks. In the Colony or Shipyard queue, you might have 2 turns left for a item and then the next turn, you still have 2 turns left. Building ships from the ship queue, you can have multiple ships building at the same time but you never know that they were doing that when you built your queue. How do I insure that my game is up to date? I just bought it yesterday and started it at Steam. Steam is notorious for never getting the proper patches for games and maybe these rookie bugs are fixed as they should have been dealt with long ago, imo.
