I named a star as part of the founder's perk. Years later, after never seeing it, I search the star list (that is, the file, StarNamesText.xml). It's not in there.
Now, I remember there being some debate about the name because a Google search would turn up it has intellectual property attached to it. I identified myself as the owner of that IP when questioned on it and sent an email from the domain name of that IP to prove as much. This seemed to satisfy the issue at the time and I was told the star name was approved. But it was never put in.
At best, SD dropped the ball and I didn't get the perk. At worst, I was lied to. I'm just going to avoid assuming either and say I'm not very happy about it.
