I just opted in for the 1.71 beta currently available for Galactic Civilizations III. After taking just a few turns, the game became unbearably slow to respond to zooming in and out, or ordering ships with movement points left to move. If I zoom in or out with my mouse wheel while looking at the galaxy, it can take over minute to respond at all. What is on the screen does not change. It is obviously some kind of graphics issue because, when I click on the research button while waiting for a response to a zoom command, the music changes to that of the research screen, but what is shown on the screen does not change. I bought the game when it was still being beta tested, before its official release, and 1.71 is the first version to ever have this problem for me.
Anyone else having this problem?
