Is anyone else having issues generating that perfect galaxy you imagined you would like to play it all out on?
Having spent a few hundred turns searching for other CIVs from the around 28 CVIs and minor races on maps above Huge I had to confess to my self that I have no idea for how many CIVS each map size is comfortable to play with. Now I understand that a map being comfortable is up for discussion (for me it is around 10 habitable planets for each starting CIV), but it could be measured as an average of habitable planets the users statistically generate per CIV
Another issue I have is that I want to get lost in a galaxy and do not want to reach the periphery of it as it shows to me the limitation of the playing field and those borders do not see any activity - no need to defend them
So here is a few things that might help in the above things:
- Option to select rough position on the galaxy e.g.: Do not put me on the edge of the Galaxy, or in the middle of it, or right next to another CIV
- Hints displayed next to the galaxy sizes for about how many CIVs it is suitable for counting with the statistically most common abundancy of players and around 10-15 planets per CIV
- Option in the game menu to regenerate map right of the bat
