This is the reply from Steam on a ticket I submitted for a workshop problem involving the failure of ship designs to upload. Following a failure no ships can be uploaded. This problem has been intermittent for several weeks. I submitted a ticket to SD and I was referred to Steam support
By total chance I have been able to fix this problem. Someone on the forum suggested that a fix for games failing to load was to re-run c++ in the Steam/GCIII files. I could see a vague connection so I tried it and eureka, it fixed my problem.
What I don't know is what causes the problem. Since it is fixed by a GCIII game file I assume it is a GCIII bug/problem/conflict. I may be doing something to cause the failure but I can;t figure out what.
I can open another ticket if necessary, buit since I can identify the affected files someone in SD support might have some ideas on what triggers this problem. Please help.
