But.. I want Rare on habitable planets. I have tried various settings and its either non existent (Elerium) or when there is some, Durantium is more plentiful than hydrogen. I have put nebulae on abundant and resources on 'uncommon' what you get are numerous very small nebulae with ZERO Elerium on the map. Ideally I would like a thinner but even distribution of resources galaxy wide. It seems that Durantium is coded to be prevalent while the other two are flat out rare.
- Number of Stars: Abundant
- Number of Planets: uncommon (this setting directly affects number of habitable planets, I would play on abundant if I can get fewer habitable ones.)
- Habitable Planets: Rare
- Extreme Planets: Rare
- Size: Insane
- Shape: Loose clusters or even distribution.
- Asteroids: RARE
- Nebulae: Occasional or Common
- Resources: Occasional or uncommon (No middle ground here, either TOO many of everything or very few with above settings.)
- Precursor relics: Occasional
- Anomalies: Occasional
- Minor races: Abundant
- # of AI not including player: 15 or 16
- Pirates: RARE
- Tech pace: Very slow
- Game pace: Normal
- Difficulty: Gifted ai, I am tempted to bump up one but currently I have been consistently ahead of AI by 600-5000 power points.
I know there are many excellent Modders here, if I knew which lines to change I would do so, however I also really like Vids better war mod and do not want to have anything interfere with that too much.
So that is what I typically play with. I would love to see what others really enjoy. I play these settings simply because I realistically think life bearing planets are rare and think that finding them should be a WOOT moment. It does pose a challenge for the ai as the player can specialize his few planets and an AI will not.
