GC2 had a ship preference slider where you could set the priority for the 3 different defense types e.g. i want the ship to auto upgrade as new techs are researched but it would try to maintain a 20%S 20%pd 60%A split
This is probably not moddable because it would require UI changes, I am only a rank amateur modder ... just wondering
