Do I understand correctly that ship designs in Blueprints automatically update to your latest available tech?
That is, I build a Scout M0 as a Terran. Later I research a new engine, and while my Scout M0 is happily puttering around the deep dark dangerous universe on last century's tech, if I go to the Shipyard I'll see a Scout M3 (or something) as a build option which is in effect the Scout M0 with the new engine?
This is what I think is happening, but wanted to clarify some things:
- if I use the Scout template, change some aesthetic bits, and save it as a Scout, will this aesthetically altered class of ship design upgrade over time?
- if I use the Scout template, change or add some effective components, and save it as a Scout, will this functionally altered class of ship design upgrade over time?
- if I use the Scout template, change or add some effective components, and save it as say a Venturer, will this functionally altered class of ship design upgrade over time?
- if I make a new ship that uses the Scout template, call it the Adventurer say, and make it different in any number of ways, will this new class of ship design upgrade over time? (this is probably an extension of the above)
- if I make a brand new design from scratch on the Tiny frame and call it the Aceventura, do these designs update their tech over time?
Thanks
