(First time caller, long time listener!)
I'm having difficulty saving parts from the ship designer. Sometimes only a part of the component saves.
For example:
I crack open the Terran transporter template and grab the central little cross thing (made of Terran Model 23 and 26) using CTRL LMB from the component list, adding parts left-to-right. I then hit the little save-grouped-parts button, and it appears in the Parts menu - although I usually get the blank-thumbnail bug too.
But anyway, thumbnail aside, when I click on the new part it only shows Terran Model 26, and the 4-mirrored Terran Model 23 little arm things in the shape of a cross are missing.
This happens pretty much everywhere, whether grabbing a group of components from an existing design, or building a ship from scratch. Some "bits" will always be missing from the saved component.
From what I can see I'm following the types of steps that for example Gauntlet uses in his Race Mod YouTube tutorials, but I can never get them to work.
Is this a bug or a Class I Operator Error?
