As the title says, the Galactic Event "Design Revolution" does not appear to be working correctly as of Beta 6, opt in patch [Build #183]. At least not for the Malevolent option.
When presented with the options for the event, I chose the one that said:
"Direct these idle minds to help with something actually practical. But don't let them choose what's practical. Tell them ships are practical. Start there. (+20 Malevolent, -10% Equipment Mass For All Ship Components)"
However, nothing changed on my ship building options, either for hull capacity or for component size.
Unfortunately, due to this being a Galactic Event, I don't have a direct before and after save file. I do have a save file almost immediately before the Galactic Even occurred, unfortunately due to the semi-random nature of them, I can not recreate the steps that occurred to get that specific Galactic Event.
I do not know if the other ideological choices are working as intended for this event. If i can ever get repeatable save just before the event, I'll send in a ticket on it if needed.
