I love Galactic Civilizations - I also really enjoy board games. I stumbled across this game on Kickstarter, and and wanted to share it here because it reminds me so much of GalCiv.

I’m not affiliated with the game other than being a backer, it just struck me as something that other GalCiv fans might enjoy because:
- It requires meaningful decisions around fleet management (supported by some really cool ship minis).
- The multiple ways to win allow for flexibility in play styles.
- The combo troop / fleet conflict seems to set up interesting conflict options.
- Edit: and a good random map mechanic.
So it’s basically all the stuff I like about Galactic Civilizations, and if you’re on this forum now - I’m guessing that you like to support / follow games that are in development. If you enjoy board games, it's worth a look. (the Kickstarter campaign runs through May 19)
