Am I Stupid To Buy Early?

Now Steam sales GalCiv3 only 15$ in my country(Turkey) for limited time as i paid 40$ for the game 4 months before . I understand that i am too stupid support devs too early instead of waiting steam %50 offer(even %100 sale price is less than 40$) even before release . In four months i didnt play game so much as it was not completed, so i feel robbed now . I dont care if steam offer would be %25 as christmas sale but %50...    I really disappointed by Stardock about this issue and wont buy any game from them before steam offer %50 anymore   As seen steam offered before release so i wont wait too much.
