Would it not be cool if scenarios could be random? Most of the time you start the game at turn one, but what if on a random map with randomized settings starting at a RANDOM turn managing a unknown empire?!?!?
I like it. Start At a specific age with a prebuilt empire, who know what could happen. And some of the boringness of laying the ground work could be skipped. 
I do not always like surprises my friends, but when I do, it must be epic.
