PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Have downloaded GC3 from steam today.
Installed on disk E under steam app.
Launched, I get the splash screen with the Drengin and Launching......... minutes long.
Then an error appears "GalCiv3.exe has stopped working" and I can only close it.
At that point I'm back to desktop and have also found that the whole physical E disk disappers (not even on HW list) and gets back only with an HW restart (shutdown). OS doesn't list HW errors and SMART is ok.
SOLUTIONS ALREADY TRIED
- completely reinstalled GC3 - nope
- tried another steam application - works fine
- tried installing the fonts - nope
- updated bios - nope

- AMD Phenom quad core
- 8GB RAM
- MB ASUS M5A97 R2.0
- 2 x 250GB SATA-I (C & E)
- NVIDIA GT9500 1GB
- Win 7 Pro - 64 latest fixes
