Ideology,and anomalies.

Posted on Thursday, August 21, 2014

I posted in another thread that on some maps where habitable planets are 'uncommon' or less, it is  unlikely you will ever reach the 3rd tier on any ideology.  I also noticed that for Benevolent my points are resetting after each unlock.

Is this intended?

Can we get 'respawn' of anomalies on the map like we did in Gal Civ II? Maybe after either a (set) turn limit or in areas where direct observation is not present? I know that the Devs are working on more 'events' with anomalies and are going to put in Ideology choices with them to give us more points to acquire. I noticed that after we have opened the map up that no more spawn. This would give our 'surveyors' something to do but may unbalance due to the Ideology benefit.

On one setting I put 'resources' to common but Black Holes to rare. I got LOTS of Black holes with 2 or 3 antimatter at each one. Pretty funny actually

I am enjoying another new game and found that planet specialization is the way to go.

Love the direction of the game. Features are coming along nicely. Some UI attention would help, I think the right hand side of planets, ships and such should have an option to be hidden' and/or be minimized up into the bar. I would be able to see more of whats going on and if I want to glace at ships or planets I can call it up if needed. This was somewhat how it worked in GC II. Also a banner at the top of the screen telling me events, either "We have hostiles in sector 114" or a news flash that says "Oricon has just completed the Dread Lords Palace", would be nice. I always liked the scrolling banner in Distant worlds but he font was terrible.

Game on..
