About 30 minutes after closing GCiv 3 I noticed that my CPU usage was abnormally high. So I pulled up process explorer and found that the GCiv 3 process was still running even though I have no window in my task bar. It was still using 12% of my CPU (when the game is running it bounces between 35 and 50%).
Below is a link to an image of process explorer and the rest of my desktop and I will reply to my own post in a second with my dxdiag. I dont know if this will be helpful but, after taking the screen shot I tried to shut down steam and it refused because GCiv was still running. I then ended the Gciv process tree and tried to make this problem occur again. I was not able to, however i only tried loading a game and then closing it. If it happens again, I will post it here.
