Some users may run into a rare bug where the font installer for GalCiv 3 will hang during the initial installation process. If this happens, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
- Hit Ctrl-Shift-Esc to bring up the Windows Task Manager
- Click the Processes tab
- Select the Image Name: gc3_font_setup.exe
- Right-click and select End Process
- Exit out of Task Manager
- Open Windows Explorer to your Galactic Civilizations III installation directory
- Go into the Fonts directory and run gc3_font_setup.exe
- Run the game again via Steam and you should be all set
