I like the snarky lines that crop up in GalCiv games. Lets create some and post them here. Then the developers may have more sources of inspiration. After all, margaritas only last so long. 
My first suggestion:
"Oh, you are the new ambassador from Earth? Walk with me. I desire a stroll in my gardens. I always take first time visitors to see my palace gardens. Did you know I have an amazing collection of human femur bones adorned with wonderful intricate carvings. Most are by our most revered poet, a national treasure. What say you? Oh, they are the poet's more famous musings about friendship."
