I remember in Gal civ II the combat was all automated by the computer (you had zero ability to affect combat outcomes aside from ship design)
I'm therefore curious if GC III will have a more RTS approach (or maybe with strategy cards ala Endless Space) or if it's still the same "sit and watch the computer animate a battle with a pre determined outcome" style of conflict? (which I felt was intensely dull after the first 3 times.)
I figure I should ask before tossing money at this game in a pre-order.
(On a side note I tried to use the search function to see if this has been asked already but it seems broken for me and just sits there loading endlessly,)
