Hey everyone!
Looking for a chance to pick mormegil's (lead designer Paul Boyer) brain about what we're doing with GC3, curious about the art direction, or wondering what the design philosophies behind some of the changes on tap for the third game? You have come to the right thread.
I'm putting together what I hope will be the first of many community Q&A sessions with the Galactic Civilizations III team. Ask your questions in this thread, and I'll collect what I think of as the best of them and get them answered by the developers.
A few ground rules:
- Be nice -- We're happy to answer things like "What made you go in such a different direction with the blue-skinned Altarian leader?" On the other hand, "Why does the new Altarian leader suck so much?" will be passed over.
- The game is still in development -- We're not even in Alpha yet (soon!). We will try as always to be as forthright and frank as possible, but please understand if we're not ready to share super-specific details on systems that are still being designed.
- If you're Frogboy, please hold your horses and let the rest of the team get a chance to answer some questions!
