While the trailer was a massive excitement to me indeed, I felt like the most shocking reveal is that Thalans were not what we saw in the comms in GalCiv 2, where I pictured them as their heads suspended and those upper arms curving back down and being more of a spider thing.
Come in the trailer, and Thalans are toned humanoids with arms in their head. My life has been a lie. 
Next thing we know, the Snathi are octopus like below the picture frame.
